Elder Dwalunda Alexander was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for Engineering Professions. She went on to Texas Southern University where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology in 2005. From the age of four, Elder Alexander attended The Church without Walls where Rev. Dr. Ralph D. West is Pastor.
At the age of nineteen, Elder Alexander accepted her calling to preach the Word of God. Along with that call was the charge to attend seminary in order to sharpen the tools that God had given her. She moved to Fort Worth in 2005 and attended Brite Divinity School on the campus of Texas Christian University where she received her Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Black Church Studies in December 2008. She recently completed her Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Lincoln Christian University and looks forward to contributing to the fields of Womanist Theology and Womanist Preaching. She was ordained through the Rhema Fellowship of Churches by Bishop David E. Martin in May, 2009.
Elder Alexander is a collaborating author of two books: Promise: A Women’s Devotional and I’m Speaking: Rewritten Rules of Encouragement to Affirm Women Disruptors. She is a public-school educator and enjoys spending time with her husband Jonathan and their children.
